THIS DAY.
4 o'clock p.m. Business is still very quiet-in-the-Share Market. Banks have been done at 195 for the end of the year, and 198, for the end of January; there are still sellers at 188 cash and 192 for the end of the current month; the stock may fairly be said to have a downward tendency. China. Sugars have changed hand at 1424 for the end of the month. Luzons are much firmer, offers to buy at the increased rate of 83 per share failing to induce holders to part. Nothing else requires special notice.
