Mr. Möller-And I am prepared to answer any question that Mr. Davis can put to me.
. Mr. Davis had no desire to ask.Mr. Möller any questions. Mr. Möller, he said, was a ship owner, but his ships were not classed in any particular form nor were they subject to any rules and regulations, and if the risks were accepted to Mr. Möller that the ships should be subject to periodical surveys and Inspections the same as would be the case, for instance, if they were classed under British Lloyds. Mr. Miller had taken his business out of the Company's sur- veyor's hands, and objected to bis visiting his ships; or at any rate information had been with- held from him. It was necessary that, there' should be periodical surveys, by their own sur- veyor, of ships on which the Company had risks.
Mr. Müller replied that the ship he had men- tioned was classed, and said the French mail boats had not a better class,

Mr.. Davis did not think he ought to enter into a discussion on the matter; be could not be expected to discuss private repons which were made to him about ships. It would be exceedingly inconvenient and against the in- tereats of the Company if he disclosed these reports at a public meeting.
