„THIS DAY
Noon. No movements of importance have been chronicled on the Share Market this morn- ing. Banks are rather firmer than was the case yesterday, a slight demand exist- ing for the stock at 190 per cent. premium, and as no shares have been forthcoming at that rate it is probable that 191 will be paid. On time a few sales have been booked at 194 for November. Steamboats have been made the medium of a fair amount of speculation at 52 per share
premium for the end of the year, and there are still cash buyers at 50. China Sugars continue weak with sellers at 140, and a further fall appears imminent. Nothing else has come under our observation.
o'clock p.m.
·Since noon Banks have been done at 197 for December 31st, and 200 for the end of January. Steamboats have changed hands at 50 premium for cash and 50 for the end of the month. Other stocks re- main as per annexed list.
