4 o'clock p.m. A fair business has been put through In the Share Market to-day. Traders' have gone back slightly and have. changed hands at $2850 per share, Yang tsze insurances still continue their upward course and are in demand at taels 1075, a further advance of thels 75 since yester day. Chinese Insurances have been nego. clated at $20 per share, and sellers are still offering at that rate. A large business has been put through in Hongkong Fires at 1415, 1425, and finally $1430 per share, leaving all with buyers at the last named figure. China Fires have been booked at $370, buyers ruling the market at the advanced rate. China Sugars have sold at $205 per share, and more, shares are wanted at that figure. Nothing in other stocks came under our notice,
