THIS DAY.

Noon. 'Business in the Share Market has been fairly brisk this morning. Banks have boen negociated at 193 premium for the ent of the month, and 195 for March 31st Chinese leaving off firm at these rates. Insurances have changed hands at $215 per share, and there are still buyers at the same figure. Sales of Steamboats at $30 for the end of the month have been put through, and, doubtless, a fair number of shares at the same rate could be placed for cash. China Sugars are steadily rising in the market. offers to buy at $205 meet- Ing with no response. Luzons have fallen slightly in value, sellers offering to do business at $114 per share. Other stocks emain as per annexed list.

4 o'clock p.m. Since noon further sales of Banks have taken place at 195 for March 31st, and 197 for the end of April, the stock being firm in the market.

China Sugars con- tinue rising in value and are now quoted at $207 per share, for cash. No business has been done at the cash rate, but a num- ber of shares have changed hands at $210 for the end of March. Nothing else re- quires special mention."
