Commercial.

THIS DAY,

Noon.

There has been a lull this morning in the excitement which has characterised the transactions in Banks for some days past, and the stock may be described as slightly weaker than yesterday. A few cash trans

fers have been effected on the old terms at 183 per cent. premium, and more shares might be obtained at the rate. The slight run on Docks, which we reported the other day, has not been....maintained In fact, the stock is weaker than be-- fore. Sales for the end of the month have been put through at 53 Per cent. premium, and sellers rule the market. Inquiries after Steamboats at 32 per share premium have not been responded to, and likely enough a higher price will be paid. China Sugar scrip is on offer at 200 per share. A fair amount of Luzons have been negociated for cash at 112. Nothing else of special importance has.come under our observation,

4 o'clock p.m.

The only transactions we have to report since noon, are further sales of Docks at 32 premium, for the end of the month.
