Commercial.

THIS DAY, Fors P.3. Our share report is again of the most meagre description. With the exception of a limited business in Banks at 112) per cent premium, nothing whatever has been done since we last wrote. There are still a few sellers of Banks at 112. China Fires show a slight depreciation, a number of shares being on the market at 297 without finding purchasers, No movement has been made in Docks, the quotation remain ing unchanged. A number of shares would he disposed of at 50 per cent, premium, but the highest offer is 49, and at this rate hulders decline to sell. The result of several inquiries after Steamboats has ma- terially strengthened the market stains of that stock. Yesterday a number of shares could have been procured at 24 per share premium, to-day offers to buy at that rate Hotels fail to elicit a single "response. stand nominally at 102, and Sugars are still offered at 170 without leading to busi

The attention of boxholders is called to the necessity of carefully sealing such boxes with some recognisable seal, and of sending a chit- book or receipt with them. The omission of the latter precaution leaves a doubt as to whether the contents of the box ever reached the Fost Office: the omission of the former, as to whether part of them might not have been abstracted for the sake of the Postage stamps.
