POLICE NOTIFICATION.
HE following Regulations are made THE
under the provisions of Ordinance 10 of 1869 :-
ILLUMINATIONS. I-After 8 PM. où the nights of the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, and on the morning of the 25th December, 1881, no Chairs or Vehicles will be allowed to pass along that portion of Qasen's Road Contral lying between Wardley Street and Murray Barracks.
II-On the same dates uo Jinrick- shag will be allowed to pass through Wing Lock Street, Jervois Street, Bonham Strand, or Boubam Strand West.
III-On the night of the 24th and morning of the 25th December, 1881, no Jinrickshas will be allowed to pass along Queen's Road.
FIRE WORKS. IV.-Admission to the Cathedral enclosure will be by Tickets, to be ob- tained by application to the Acting Registrar General, the Chinese Com- mittee, or Inspector on duty Central Polico Barracks.
V.-The South portion of the Parade Ground will be reserved for women and children.

CITY HALL.
VIII. At nil, entertainments at the
City Hall until December 31st, 1881, Chairs and Vehicles must set down from the East side and take up from the West.
IX-All empty Chairs and Vehicles will be arranged by the Police in two linos, public Chairs down Queen's Road and privato Chairs down Wardley Street, and must only come to the doors of the City Hall in tara.
X-Passengers along the Streets, and Chairs will keep to the left hand side of the Streets and Roads in the direction in which they are proceeding.
XI-In Queen's Road two Chairs will be allowed to be carried abreast of each other. In other Streets they must be carriel in single line.
XII The Police will be directed to keep the crowd moving.
XIII-Passes will be required after
