3. Lieutenant-Colonel De Butts has, however, appended to his recommendation a suggestion thist advantage should be taken of the concession cought by the Colony

for brauzer to the War Department of the foreshore adjoining-

the Military Boundary. Neverthelep, it seems

to me

mexpedient, to confusaquestion

of that nature

with an encerely different matter which should be judged on its

exclusive merits.
