the personal service or labor of such Emigrant-

are absolutely void.

passage money paid for

of such emigrant, recovery may be had,

as in

other case of money contract:

judgment of recovery will, however,

be for

the amount actually advanced

and expended, with interest thereon

at the rate fixed by law; and no more.
