a clearer view of the actual facts connected with Pirney and its suppression in this neighborhood, than Mr Robertsons unsupported assumptions and his suppression of the action taken by this Government. If so I shall not regret the trouble which I have had in putting that information together for it must help to disclose the actual truth.

M. Cervantes-Arbuthnot is always ready to malign Sir R. MacDonnell by false rumour. He does not do so to Dr. M. posture, for instance.
I think the cessation of the agitation in the Press, if it has ceased, is a result of the firm way in which Dr. M. displayed his views by bringing the question to rest.

It seems clear that Sir R.M. maligns J. Robertson. For many years this has been reporting the Government's sufferings.
