I said it would appear from the reports of K.D. Dir. Pichard Mactonnel that from some Cause which I did not clearly understand, friendly intercourse had been established between the local Authorities and more particularly with the Military Commanders. Pang Lok had been interrupted.
Aux there could be no doubt it was most desirable and eminently on both sides that in matters needful on Police and other details involved, to maintain in reciprocal effort the peace of the border, repress crime and arrest offenders, such intercourse should be maintained. I trusted A.P. would agree with me that nothing should be allowed to interfere with the maintenance of good relations.
St. E. fully admitted the advantage and necessity for such relations, and expressed his perfect willingness to promote them; however, he added he was not aware of any interruption to those hitherto established.
