With reference to your letter of the 1st August, I am directed by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to transmit to you, for the information of Carl Granville, the accompanying Extract of a despatch which has been received from Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires at Lima, upon the subject of the expected arrival there of the ship "Frederic" with Coolies from Hong Kong.
