Thomas West; which she states are in the hands of Her Majesty's Consul at Shanghae; to you repon of Her Majesty's Consul and I am to state that no report has been received at this Office, and that Lord Clarendon would suggest that Mrs West should be desired to apply to the Board of Trade, to which Department the proceeds of effects left by deceased seamen are forwarded direct by Her Majesty's Consuls.
