I have the honour to act : the receipt of yr seep : of the 27th ult : & it's inclosures, respecting the Canton flag, used by the Gunboats of the Central Customs.
I may respectfully state that the Gunboats in question are under the military control of the local govt & are in no way connected with the Customs Sept.
I have also the honour to inclose copy of a desp : I have sent to Sir R. Alcock on the subject.
