I have the honor to inform you, with reference to Your despatch No. 526 of the 11th of June 1868 & to the reply from this office No. 137 of 15 August that the Queen's Exequatur, empowering E. Whittall Keswick to act as Interpreting Consul General for Hongkong on behalf of Sardinia and Hanover, received Her Majesty's signature the 10th instant, and that the notification of Her Majesty's approval of the appointment of Mr. Keswick will appear in the Gazette of the 13th instant.
