must be licensed.
The License is valid for 6 months.
It is renewable by specifying the number in the Register; and
fee is payable at the time of renewal.
Application for License is obtainable from
the Registrar General.
A Certificate signed by the Colonial Surgeon, the
Emigration Officer, and
Registrar General,
that
the Depôt had been inspected and approved by
them. The fee for the License is
10 Dollars.
3. The Depôt is required to keep a register of
Emigrants without the permission of the Emigration Officer, to whom the Keeper of the Emigrants must notify the
Depôt in which they are.
5. All
applications for Emigration
are to be registered, having first undergone a
medical examination, and had the proposed Contract fully explained to them.
They are to be furnished with a copy of the proposed Contract.
They cannot be embarked until after the expiration of 4 days.
Again, the Contract is to be kept open from sun-rise to sun-set, with free ingress and egress for Emigrants at all hours.
4. No one is allowed to engage Emigrants except the Emigration Officer in the presence of
the Registrar General.
Every Emigrant after embarkation must be
distinctly, and
checked by the Emigration Agent.
