As Hong Kong is not in receipt of such aid, the transmission
of any
further Accounts to the Comptroller and Auditor-General for "Audit might, for the future be discontinued, provided that Earl Granville is satisfied that a sufficient audit exists in the Colony.

I would ask also to say that it is proposed to discontinue Imperial Audit of the HK Accounts & therefore that no further preparations be made
in regard
to audit.

glad to make a statement as to additional precautions taken to ensure the official audit up to normal standard now that it is
relieved from
