Regarding the investment of "the greater part of the balance standing to the credit of the Colonial Government in the books of this office. I have the honor to state for Earl Granville's information as follows:

In July last the Crown Agents received a remittance in Bills of £20,000, of which £4000 matured on the 4 August, and £16,000 will be due on the 5 January next.
