With reference to your Admiralty letter of 14 Jan. last, together with its enclosure from the Governor of Hong Kong, on the subject of the Lock Hospital at that place;
Wherein he proposes that, 60 beds should be provided, of which the Imperial Government should contribute 40, at the rate of £134 1/2 68 per bed per annum; no expense on account of building to be charged to the Imperial funds: I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners to acquaint you for the information of Earl Granville, that they agree to this proposal; and that they are prepared to pay.
