House of Commons.

7671 Hong Kong.

RECEIVED

JULY 10 1869

Notice of Motion for Monday 12th July 1869.

11. Colonel Sykes, - To ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, whether the money arising from the licensing of Gambling Houses in Hong Kong has been included as an ordinary source of revenue in the Return of Revenue and Expenditure for 1868:

And, whether such appropriation is sanctioned by the Secretary of State.

How soon will the gambling papers be ready. Hopefully these papers were placed in the hands of the printers and have not come back.

After the Printers is to send these Papers only to the House of Lords, but perhaps it will be as well to give them also to the House of Commons. I will press them forward and deliver on the vote. June, the present intention is that they might be promised in about a fortnight hence.

10 July

Sir F. Sandford

All the papers are with the printers.

Colonel Syker
