I have the honor to inform you that M. T. Callaghan appointed Chief Magistrate by the Secretary of State has this day reported his arrival in the Colony, and will from this date assume the duties of his office.
His Excellency the Governor desires me to convey his entire satisfaction with the way in which you have filled the acting appointment, and conducted the duties of the Department for upwards of 8 months past.
