I have the honour to
forward herewith a letter from
Mr. Phillippe, Attorney General and
at present Acting Chief Justice
of this Colony.
The letter is addressed to His Grace the Duke
of Argyll
as Her Majesty's Principal
Minister Secretary of State for India
and solicits a transfer to the
Indian Bench in the event
of a Superior vacancy.
