(Copy) Report on Ordinance Nr. 10 of 1869.

Previous to the passing of this Ordinance there was no power in any one in the Colony to make any regulations of this character, as although Sections 51 and 52 of 2 and 3 Vic: Cap: 47 are, so far as time goes, within the limit laid down by Section 3 of Ordinance 2 of 1876 defining the time up to which the Law of England shall be adopted in the Colony, they are rendered inapplicable by Section 4 of Ordinance 6 of 1845.
