You will have the goodness to furnish me with an account framed on this basis of Receipts & Expenditure for 1867-1868, 1869 (Separately) on account of the Fund.

I must correct you. Comparing that

★ In Estimates of Revenue of the Colony for 1870 Dr & you will bear in mind that the forming Interest — $5,000 on $10,000, interest on the fund is not to be considered as available in aid of General Revenue, but must be credited to the Fund account.

* With regard to the petition, You have raised as to the form of Supplementary Estimates in your despatch no. 806, I shall address you in a separate despatch. I have —

— $276,308 is and to be laid & Special and $300,000 is the amount in bank at interest. This subject should go to the Treasury, as that Department has Always laid down the laws on the subject — Hardly misapplying An Act of 1860 in default.
