The Items of expenditures proposed to be covered by further legal enrolment are set forth in the following analysis:

119.55. Destruction of Chairs and furniture by Typhoon 1867 made this Disbursement necessary.

Colonial Secretary $1362.85 - The Interpreters who were estimated on only half pay drew full pay while holding appointments during Superintendent of Police and Acting Assistant Harbor Master.

Auditor General — $2,500.59. The number of New Ordinances and the large quantities of forms necessitated by them, together with the requirements consequent on the introduction into the Post Office of the money order System and Marine Board, partly account for this increase; but Departmental business is also a reason for the increase there. There is a general tendency to require more Stationery; and allowance has accordingly been made in the estimate of 1869.

Clerk of Councils. $96.21. The Presses for the library have cost somewhat more than anticipated.

Surveyor General $300.58. This is caused by the appointment of one Inspector of Buildings.
