The excess of expenditure on the Police, viz., $19,163.54 is not shown in the Supplementary Estimates, as it is a charge on the Special Fund. The receipts and disbursements to the Dock Yard Police are withdrawn.
The Special Fund has been charged with $5,482.67 for Police Stations, and $3,500 for alteration and addition to Central School.
A sum of $4,378.40 refunded on account of overpaid Rates is not shown here, as it is provided for by Ordinance No. 11 of 1867. The amount on the receipt side has been diminished to such extent.
A sum of $4,500 paid on account of the construction of the schooner Victoria, is provided from the Special Fund.
The sum of $113,944.80 expended in excess in paying the arrears of Military Contribution is not shown in the Supplementary Estimates, as the sum has been previously voted in the Estimates of 1866 and 1867.
