There is a leading article in
the China Mail of the 26th of May last headed "Kidnapping in Tonquin." In this it is assumed that vessels leaving Hong Kong were
kidnapped, and the Editor remarks that "Hong Kong, if the reports be
true, or vivid interest in making full
enquiry into the facts."
