would not, it was stated, have allowed the causes to be proceeded with, and Mr Saint hopes he may now be allowed the benefit of.

He has suffered severely from the conduct of the Government in permitting these prosecutions to be instituted and carried on in its name and by its Officers and he hopes that he may now be reimbursed some portion, at least, of the expense he has been put to without being compelled to take further proceedings to enforce his claim or dragged into Court to defend his right.
