Referring to my letter to you of the 31 of March last and to your reply of the 12 of April last N. 147 it appears that His Excellency was pleased to refuse my application for Vacation leave but was willing to grant leave of absence for 5 months on half statutory salary.
On my request my application for leave was referred home and I had hoped for a final decision.
The Honorable J. Gardiner Austin, Colonial Secretary.
