National Income in Hong Kong The national income represented by GNP is calculated as:

GOP net income from abroad. But in Hong Kong the data on: 'net income from abroad' is not available.. Thus GDP is used to reflect the national income in Hong Kong..

The value of GDP at market prices in. Hong Kong was about $360 billions in 1987. AFTER the sluggish performance in. 1985, the Hong Kong economy recovered significantly in 1986 and continued to grow rapidly in 1987. The growth rate in real terms of the gross domestic, product (GDP) accelerated from 0.6 per cent in 1985 to 11.2 per cent in 1986 and an estimated 13.6 per cent in 1987. The strong growth in domestic exports provided the main impetus to this overall growth.

The following tables show the components of GDP in Hong Kong in 1987.
