Colonial Secretary's Office,
15th June, 1869.
I am directed to inform you
That your letter of the 8th Instant has been under consideration of the Governor and Executive Council, and to draw your attention to the misstatement in that letter relative to the Secretary of State's directing a gratuity to be granted to you on your leaving the Parliamentary service.
My letter of the 30th December last (No. 1755) put you sufficiently in possession of the views of Her Majesty's Government as to your claim.
W. Wilson, Esq.
