I have to inform Your Excellency that João Joaquim dos Remedios, Vice Consul at Hongkong, has already been appointed Consul General for Portugal in the same Colony, provision having been made for the vacancy in that Vice Consulate by the appointment of the Registrar, Augustinho Guilherme Romano. You will apprize these Gentlemen that they should appoint Agent in this Country to apply direct to this Office for the issue of their Commissions.
