The Army Office for 18 years' service in the terms of Paragraph 17 of the Circular No. 871 references to the Pension of Discharged Soldiers.
Mallon has recently been enrolled in the Police Force of this Colony, and it is suggested by the Lt. Colored Commanding the 16th Regiment from which Mallon has been discharged, that the gratuity which he claims should be remitted to this Government to be dealt with in the best interests of Mallon within the 18 months specified in Circular 871.
