to the Works on Educational subjects published
& in die Colonies under Government
authority, which would be exchanged for publications of a similar character from the
Macau Colony
In reply I have the honour to
acquaint Your Lordship that this Government
is quite willing to receive works published
in England under
authority of Her Majesty's Government.
I
regret
that
I am
unable to report
that such Works are being published
in this Colony, but nevertheless,
my inability to respond
arises
not
from
want
of inclination, I trust that there will be
no
objection in transmitting "ad interim"
to this Government the works alluded to
by Mr Cole.
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient
humble servant,
..................
Governor
