Feeling that the trade of the Colony is thus being hampered in its most important branches, in what cannot be otherwise termed than an unwarrantable manner, the Committee of the Chamber urgently request the favourable interference of His Excellency in a matter affecting so closely the welfare of the Colony over which he presides.
