As Mr Linstead is a very proper person to hold the acting appointment, I have caused his recognition to be notified in the Gazette, and further have intimated to that Gentleman himself my intention to report to your Grace in favor of the permanency of his appointment to the Belgian Consulate in the event of such appointment being supported by the Belgian Government.
Possibly this expression of opinion may obviate the necessity and delay of further reference to me hereafter.
