I am anxious that you should know, that the breach has risen from the conduct of the late Governor of Hongkong towards Son. Since his arrival, he has been subjected to a series of annoyances, which he felt it impossible to submit to. He has been treated by the Governor more as a servant or common Clerk, than as the head of a department; and expected to be at a Governor's beck and call on matters of the most trivial character.
