I have the honor to notify, for the information of the Rt. Honble. the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, the Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, that on the 30th December last, I had the misfortune to meet with an accident of a very serious character resulting in the fractures of my left hip and arm, since which time I have been unable to leave my bed.
