A First-Class powerful Fire Engine (as plan), "Prince Albert," for 46 men, on the patent and best principle, with gun-metal valves and pistons, breech, and spacious copper air-vessel; gun-metal cylinders, suction, and delivery ways; Hand or Wrought copper delivery cross-arm, with two outlets with gun-metal screws for attaching hoses: wrought iron slings, guides, working lever, and shaft traversing in gun-metal journals; wrought iron levers with rule joints, and gun-metal sockets to inner folding levers, fore and aft.
The works fitted in a strong cistern, mounted on horizontal steel springs, in front and rear, wrought iron fore-locking carriage, wrought iron axles, and high wood spoke wheels for rapid travelling; driving-box and foot-board, pole and swey-bars for a pair of horses to draw abreast, and a drag-handle for men: fitted up with hose-box, side pockets, and locker to contain and preserve the hoses, suction-pipes, and implements.
The Engine is so constructed that it can draw water either through suction pipe or from its own cistern, and so that it can discharge one or two streams of water, as occasion may require: INCLUDING two 8-feet lengths of spiral copper-rivetted leather suction-pipe, with gun-metal swivel coupling screws, a moveable copper strainer with gun-metal screw, two copper branch pipes (long and short), with four improved discharging nozzles, straps, and wrenches; all of the best material, and finished in the most substantial manner.
