Guidelines on writing different types of composition
1. Latter-writing
on
The usual form is A reply to a letter. Your reply should be

argument aust be treated in a separate paragraph. Do not write a paragraph which is far too long or which includes a number of points of argument.

7. Imaginative composition
The most difficult part of this type of composition is the use of Tense, therefore it is for those candidates
a sound who have knowledge of the use of Tense, particularly the Subjunctive. One simple rule is that in an imaginative situation,
'I would' should be used instead of 'I shall' and 'he/you/ they would' instead of 'will/shall*. As I have aaid, imaginative composition is for those candidates who are good at the use of
Tense.
8. Informative composition
To prepare for this type of composition, the whole class may compile a list of topics concerning conditions and issueê in Hong Kong, e.g. housing, traffic, living condition, recreation, amusements, jobs, careers, social problems, youth problems, generation gap, youth hobbies, sports, games, etc.
