The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had before them your letter of 13th inst. recommending an allowance of $20 a month for "Chair hire" to Mr Hynd who is employed on the superintendence of the Prayatall day school.
I am to state, for the information of the Secretary of State, that, if this Officer is entitled to the allowance in question from the position which he holds under the Colonial Government, My Lords see no objection to the expenditure; but they would be glad to receive some further information.
