I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, in compliance with the request contained in your Letter No. 56 of 17th March 1868, to transmit to you the enclosed Statement, from which the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos will perceive the several quarterly instalments which the Government of Hongkong should be required to pay, on account of the arrears of the Military Contribution due from that Colony, under the Arrangement agreed to by the Department of 15th June.
