The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had under consideration the draft deed of settlement
of the Hong-Kong and Shanghai Banking Company forwarded with
your letter of
the 18th October last.
In this deed provision has been made, as required by this Board, that the consent of my Lords in writing 9745/67 should be obtained to the Establishment
of all Banks and Branch Banks, and to the establishment of agencies within Territories under the government of India, and for the payment at the
