Valentine, of four years' standing, being now in England, states, that though, while in China, he did not approve of the division of the Episcopal superintendence, yet, having respect to the ordination and superintendence of Native Ministers in Niogpo, he is now favourable to the measure.
One Missionary at Pekin, of ten years' standing, has not yet expressed his views on the subject; and the three remaining Missionaries have only recently arrived in China.
