In compliance with your obliging request, we have the pleasure to hand you the following estimate for a Steam Fire Engine.
An Improved Double Horizontal Steam Engine, same as selected by the Engineer of the British Admiralty, for the use of H.M. Dockyard, at Portsmouth and Sheerness, and by the Engineer for the Russian Government. The Victoria Docks, London Dock, and Surrey Canal Company Engineers have also selected the same Engine to be fixed on board a Tug Boat, in their establishment, and owners of a Steam Fire Engine for travelling on land have expressed themselves very highly satisfied with them.
These Engines are capable of throwing 2 jets, each jet to a height of 180 feet, and will deliver through your set pipe as a fire engine, 1000 gallons per minute.
