The opinion you express
our not requiring any
Mint
Machinery is quite correct, and there
is no prospect of our having any such want for some time to come).
I regret that I
am unable
to suggest any other mode of disposing of the Hong Kong machinery than that which you contemplate, viz! having it sent home and disposing of it in Europe
That I apprehend will be an expensive and difficult operation.

Dear Mr. Graham,
With regard to the disposal
of the Hong Kong Mint, I am fearful
you
will find it a much more difficult matter to dispose of the Machinery than to get it made.
I would suggest, whether
The Steam Engines and Rolling Mills could not be utilized in India without much loss, I know the Dutch & Italian Governments have had to make very considerable sacrifices on what they have had to dispose of, this is not at all surprising, when we see the very precarious employment of such Machines by private
Mint owners, whilst
Government any requiring such machinery will have just what they require almost regardless of what the cost may be; Could not some of the things be made available for the
Melbourne Mint at
new
If any new idea occurs
to me?
