Citizens of Countries out of
" His Majesty's Dominions,
to consecrate a Bishop who
may exercise spiritual
jurisdiction over the said
Northern parts of the
dominions of the Emperor
of China.
His Majesty in Council by
with the advice of His
said Council is pleased
to order and direct, and
doth hereby order and
direct that from and after
the consecration of such
Bishop
as aforesaid all
persons in holy orders of the United Church of England
and Ireland being within
such parts of the dominions
of the Emperor of China
lying above the 28th
North Latitude shall,
no longer be subject to the
authority and jurisdiction
of the See of Victoria and to
the Bishop thereof as by
the said Order
in Council was ordered
and directed, but shall
be subject to the authority
and jurisdiction of the
said Bishop to be consecrated.
