I have the honour to acquaint Your Excellency that upon the issue of a proclamation establishing Opium Pax Stations at certain points of the mainland in the vicinity of Hong Kong, which I forwarded to Your Excellency in my despatch No. 61 of the 8th instant, I immediately transmitted a copy of it to His Excellency the Governor of Hong Kong and received in due course a reply from the Colonial Secretary, Copies of which and my despatch I enclose for Your Excellency.
