Under past arrangements the Salaries payable to the two offices thus apigned
to Mo" Holmes, the duties of both of which I may
add can be effectively
discharged by
one and the same person,
would be £600 per annum, but with a
view to the
paring of £200 to the Public I have notified to him that he must not expect a greater addition than £100 to his present sabry of £300.
